In 2017, Fernando Noronha traveled from Chicago to New Orleans filming the road movie Highway 61: from Chicago to New Orleans. The project is a result of a successful crowdfunding campaign and a journey into North American Blues history. The film will premiere in Brazil on March 23rd in Porto Alegre. Fernando Noronha is confirmed to play at the 18th edition of the Ibitipoca Blues Festival in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Ibitipoca Blues Festival is one of the most traditional blues festivals in Brazil, attracting over 3,000 people to the camp on one weekend.
